We are the Skidmore family

Taylor, Caitlyn, and Ahavah!

We are native Californians now living in Tennessee. We absolutely love Jesus and have gladly given our lives to follow Him. We both separately surrendered our lives to Jesus in 2010, even before we had met each other! Jesus profoundly transformed us. 

We immediately jumped into our local church (at the same church) by showing up 4-5 times a week, serving, and doing life with our new spiritual family. Shortly after, we both strongly (yet separately) sensed God calling us to the Church in America. 

For Cait, that looked like working with children with special needs in the public school district and then moving to the gang-ridden projects in San Francisco as a missionary. 

For Tay, it looked like serving in his local church on staff with the ministry school and leading local community and outreach in Santa Barbara. Then God brought us together! We dated long-distance for 8 months, got engaged, and were married 4 months later. The week after our honeymoon, we moved to Los Angeles for Tay to do his Masters of Divinity, and so we spent our first 4 years of marriage at Talbot Seminary and pastoring at our church in Orange County. And then 2 years later, we moved to Tennessee and had our wonderful daughter, Ahavah Rae. Throughout our marriage, we’ve sensed the Lord stirring our hearts and calling us to serve His bride in America. 

Caitlyn Skidmore

Caitlyn is a mercy-gifted joy bomb who longs for everyone to know the joy of intimacy with Jesus.

She is a wife, mother, and has completed her YWAM DTS as well as Iris School of Missions in Mozambique, Africa. While in Africa, the Lord ironically opened her eyes to the desperate need for Jesus in America.

She has served as a missionary in the workplace as well as in the projects of San Francisco and has pastored alongside Taylor in the local church. 

Taylor Skidmore

Taylor is a reformational thinker with a deep passion for the bride of Christ to be healthy, holy, and healed, just as Jesus desired when He gave His life for her (Eph. 5:25-27).

He is a husband, father, author, ordained pastor and co-founder of Bloom The World.

He ministered on staff with the two churches he belonged to in California, served as adjunct faculty for Talbot Seminary, and has worked with the ministry of Awana for several years as the Church Partnership Manager.
